Summary:Sallie March reads dime novels about Joe Harden and wants to be just like him. When Sallie and her sister Maude are orphaned, the girls run away and even find the real Joe Harden, whose name is Marion Hardly. They steal horses and are accused of bank robbery and murder, so they are on the run. Their adventures are very entertaining to witness.
