Colin Singleton, a child-prodigy, graduates from High School and soon after his girlfriend, Katherine, breaks up with him. He becomes depressed and his friend suggests they go on a road trip to cure him. They end up in Gutshot, Tennessee and are persuaded to stay. He comes up with mathematical equations for love and believes he can graph love. He's pretty nerdy, but in a funny way.
